Hey guys,
Tofino is a small coastal town on the western edge of Vancouver Island. Not only does it have beautiful sights and scenery, but it is an amazing destination for hiking, paddling, biking, whale watching and top-class Canadian Surfing. Tofino is a great place for outdoor adventures.
This week I got some exciting news that I am going to be going to Tofino and Ucluelet ( the neighbouring town just south of Tofino) in April. Because of this, I am going to tell you guys my favourite things and outdoor adventures to do in Tofino and some extra things I want to do when I go next.
I want to start with the things I did on my last trip to Tofino. I have only been to Tofino once which is quite crazy since I have lived on the island my whole life, but after going there in 2021, I have been dying to go back.
On my last trip to Tofino my family and I stayed on Cox Bay Beach. Cox bay is a gorgeous beach that has amazing waves for both beginner and experienced surfers. Staying right on the beach was a dream. The beach is a 1.5Km from both ends and we were able to just walk onto the beach and go for a walk. I loved going on a walk on the beach early in the morning. The ocean sounds and calming mist made an amazing atmosphere to watch the early rising surfers.

Here is a map of the beaches from Ucluelet to Tofino

Because my family had never surfed before we went to Tofino, we decided to take surfing lessons. We took a family lesson with Pacific Surf Co. Pacific Surf co is an amazing business. Not only do they offer lessons but they also have board and wetsuit rentals and sell clothing. Tofino is home to many places like this. Some other board rental places are Surf Sister Surf School, Swell Tofino, and Tofino surf Adventures. These are only a fraction of the surf schools but are some of the most popular and they all range around the same price. Surfing in Tofino is amazing and once you get the hang of it it is so fun. Even if you do not make It up it can still be fun falling in the water but make sure you have a wetsuit on, the water is cold even in the summer!

Not only are Tofino and Ucluelet home to great surfing but there are also many great hikes. These include Cox Bay Lookout, Tonquin Trail, Wild Pacific Trail, and Canso Plane Crash Site, this is only a small bit of the larger ray of hikes.

There are also many amazing cafes and restaurants to go to some that I have gone to and want to go to are:
